Lauro Golf is a friendly 27-hole club a short drive inland from Málaga, set among orange groves and countryside with the Sierra de Mijas as a backdrop. It's a favourite with golfers who prefer a relaxed round at a fair price.
The course
With three loops of nine holes, the club can combine them into different 18-hole rounds, which makes it ideal for groups and for playing more than once during a stay. The layout is open and enjoyable, with a few holes that bring water into play.
Why we recommend it
Lauro is quieter than many coastal courses, close to the airport and good value, which makes it a great choice for trips with friends and for golf holidays on a sensible budget.
Combine it with
Parador de Málaga Golf and Torrequebrada are both about 20 minutes away, and the courses of Mijas are close too.
